The requirement for the system came from the company’s management. The request was:
Due to group settings, the Veolia Energia group in Slovakia had a choice of two transnational solutions and in the final decided on EAM from INFOR, today Hexagon.
The decision to use EAM started our long process of optimizing maintenance and unifying the database. Inseko is a great support for us, their ideas and solutions for improvement take our ideas even further. EAM is an excellent maintenance management tool, it can cover the entire process from the actual performance of work and recording of work time, or external costs, to management reports and KPIs, for better management, whether people or finances. The connection of EAM with the ERP system will provide us with a comprehensive view of maintenance and where and how efficiently funds are used.
From the point of view of the everyday user of the INFOR EAM maintenance management tool from the position of head of department, I can say that compared to the previous system, the whole administrative process has been simplified and, of course, accelerated. Thus, there is a clear saving of time, subsequently financial costs – maintenance resources, by improving the productivity of employees. One of the advantages is a detailed control of the time worked and the elimination of human factor errors. From the point of view of the coordination of planned (preventive and legislative) maintenance, EAM helped us to harmonize the schedules of these works and subsequently continue to work with the identified shortcomings so that there is no undesirable prolongation of the unsatisfactory factual situation. Last but not least, I consider the functional interface between EAM and the financial system to be a great benefit, which will significantly simplify the work, the process of purchasing, procuring services and also the acceleration of other internal processes. INSEKO, as our partner, approached the process of EAM implementation in our company in such a way that it takes into account and incorporates into the system many often times demanding requirements of all interested parties.
